Yōkai, a zine by Nanami Takeuchi

Yōkai is a zine by Nanami Takeuchi, featuring animals from Japanese folklore and mythology including; Inugami a severed demon dog head sealed with traditional talismans. Jinmenken, a dog with a human head and Keukegen a fluffy dust monster who loves to eat mould and dirt, Oni, typically the villain in many Japanese folktales. There are many variations of oni, one originating from Akita prefecture, Namahage wear straw fashion and carry a knife going to schools and threateningly ask kids ‘Are there any crybabies?!!’ Hysterical crying from children ensues.
